why i sometimes love fargo

after a winter like we had this year, with more snow than i remember in all my years and a spring that included an evacuation of my school and some of the city where i call home due to the second 500 year flood in twelve years, i started to forget why i am here in fargo... today i remembered. moseying around downtown, there was the coolest little bluegrass sting band... after my donation to support the arts, i asked if i could snap a few photos... after finishing up a great number, the guitar player asked who i was shooting for... they looked a little disappointed when i told them just for myself and the viewers on my blog... in conclusion, if you are like me and constantly question why we live where we do during the frigid months - go downtown and take some photos for those cold days... it will remind you that we live here because we keep warm with all the lutheran hot-dish love we have to share

severina and kc

this afternoon i got to meet up with severina and kc for their engagement shoot! they are big into classic cars, but we weren't able to find any downtown. nonetheless we still had a great time and got some really fun shots... roaming around downtown we even came across the church where they will be married - first presbyterian... what a gorgeous old sanctuary! it reminded me a lot of the lutheran church across the street from my lutheran church in enderlin! anywhoot - enough ranting and more photos!

julia and david

so sunday afternoon was not much nicer than sunday but we still got some great photos of david and julia... these two were a lot of fun along with amy and danielle who came with to shoot... afterwards julia made some amazing (not to mention spicy) chili and cornbread! yum.. oh and i should mention these two are old chapel choir alums (i'll just assume that's where they met and fell in love)...

so on saturday i got to meet up with nick and kelly for their engagment shoot! i had known kelly from high school but had not seen her since graduation so it was fun to see her again... they are a great looking couple and make shooting so easy! we shot in the plains art museum as well as some downtown and island park fun... check out some of the photos ...

oh yeah ... they're both big duke basketball fans...
